Whats a tweeen?

I have seen it and heard about it, but i dont know what it is. can someone help pls?

A tween is where you draw to frames, the beginning and end of an animate and the computer generates whats in between. For example, in this gif I made on wickeditor the first frame is blue and the last frame is red. If i add a tween it makes a smooth transition between the two frames. This also works if you wanna make objects move, spin, squash and stretch, or just change shape.
