That’s a pretty good one but I’m going for a more extreme drawback,
like if they overuse it they risk overheating and blowing up there core if there a robot or if its a person there body gets put on a timer with them burning while its in overuse or something
Every time they use it they get burned or they could gradually weaken over time if they use it

okay, so were good on drawbacks, lets make workarounds the character can use to get past the drawbacks like coiling the strings quickly and than dipping them in water for a stone or obsidian weapon.
maybe they have to take a medicine or wear a specific kind of relic that they have to nonstop replace

I got an idea for the character and I finished drawing it not that long ago but maybe the hat can be something that can cool em down?
maybe we can take the hat and move it to a different character or make something else to give the character were making

could be a very weak character but has insane abilities with unbearable side effects so a random wizard is like, “take this armor thing and you have to nonstop replace the crystal on it nonstop or else you will be cursed of bad luck”

something with insane offense but garbage endurance.
a random spoiled princess that has literal mind controlling perfume that if she sprays it on someone then they will become a random person that follows whatever she says, the spoiled princess also has a low reaction time.
So she could say to attack someone and all the controlled people will attack the person.

it could like there is a strong character but dumb and weak character but smart so the weak character tells the strong character what to do and it works out pretty well but sometimes the strong character get annoyed and does what he wants to do

I can just image this, guy 1:”hey do you have any pets” guy 2:”yes, do wanna see cupcake” guy 1:”aw, she must be adorable, yes, i would love to see cupcake.” Guy 2: shows cupcake to guy 1. Guy 1: “AAAAAAAAH!”
