The IP of your computer/school can be tracked to approximated location of your Internet router.
Whitelist are a strong competitor, as with a whitelist, the school allows only it’s Intranet websites.
Rule 1. of post-Covid school: The school isn’t funny with websites anymore.

These “proxy” sites are really sketchy… They basically either:
- Give full internet access to “sanctioned” networks (this is literally SSH)
- Steal and self-host all of its content.
In most cases, these are doing the first option. This means they are giving access to internet from a machine they own to your own. I recommend to not use website you aren’t intended to. School is for learning, and schools are catching up to the internet, soon most will be whitelists I guess.
