How to Change the Rotation Point

Hello everyone!
I’ve looked through the forums but can’t seem to find an answer. Is there any way to change the point about which an object rotates? Thank you!

Hey @Salletan, it’s not possible to change the rotation point of objects in Wick yet  Definitely a feature we want to implement eventually though!

Okay, thanks for letting me know! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve found a way to “change it”. It’s kinda inefficient though, so i’m mostly leaving this here for experimental purposes (i was bad and lazy at explaining, sorry for that. If you don’t get it, just ask me and i will make a new tutorial):

Ah, brilliant! Thanks, Ramon! While not maybe as exact as what we might have in a future release, this is certainly a great way for now! (Super kudos for the gifs, especially!)

That works better than I first thought… Thanks

Hey all,

Regarding rotation points, I’ve been trying to get a system like this to work in Alpha:

http://pixelstreetstudios.com/flash/flash-cs4-topics/move-object-pivot-point/

(Notice how you can just drag the “pivot point” wherever you want it.)

For now, adding extra pieces to your shape is a good workaround until we get draggable rotation points in!

hey can you please enplane the processes use in the gifs

here’s a video of me showing how I do it.

I do it the same and I think it is the easiest way to implement it as a feature
