Today I created an animation on the wick editor app on my galaxy tab s6 on android, and tried to export it to gif. The problem i then had was that there was no exported gif file in my (accessible) file system (I haven’t rooted the device, so I can’t see all files). I suspect that there is an issue with the exporting or file saving process, at least on my device (everything is fine on my phone.
The other option I thought of was to copy the .wick file to a different device and edit it there but these files seem to be in an inaccessible directory so I can’t do this. Is there any possibility to do this currently or would there be a possibility to implement a feature like this? A custom storage directory could be another option as well.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
nice suggestion its cool and welcome to the forums

what is the android editor? 9/10 and if i know ill rate it 10/10
Hey Simon,
Would you mind sending over the version of android you are using? The android app is still in beta and we have yet to test on many platforms! Thanks for sending in the bug report!
Also, have you checked your photo gallery to see if the gif was saved there?

Hey Luca,
Thanks for the quick answer.
It’s a galaxy tab S6 running android 10 and the wick editor app version 1.19.0. Yes, I checked the gallery and also did a search on the complete (accessible) file system for .wick files and for the name of the project which led to no results.
If you tap the open button in the wick editor of your app you can see your saved files
