everything has their purposes, no single software is going to be great at everything but they can at least do something well. scratch is probably not great as an animation tool on face value but it does teach people how to code (and people can make decent pose-to-pose animations as far as i can tell).
Can we get a round of applause for baronawc!?!??!!???
from experience i would say scratch is alright i guess but you need to be super mindful about what objects are drawn on the screen first
yeah I know but without it its horrible
its good if ur doing simple stickman fights but for like things like complicated animation it would be a no
yeah I’ve seen some insane scratch projects other than animations
I say scratch is great in game dev
i mean, its kinda good but not that good to make games, i used it a bit but i dont recommend it that much on my opinion
I know you didn’t say this but you gotta get good at animation first or get used to it, then really look into programs/apps cuz you can make good stuff with all three of them
With the experience of a GOOD couple few years cuz ain’t know way you’re cooking with these
he do got a point there
- GoAnimate
Self-explanatory. If you use this you will be the laughing stock of the animation industry
‘caillou you are grounded for 823840384038204830289304803840928109384 years’ type software
uhhhhhhh u mean Caillou the one from that cringe cartoon
Dude who else would he be talking about?
I agree with scratcha and flipaclip, when i made animations in those it looked like a slideshow presentation from the off-brand temu
Why did I literally laugh at this post
- Any temu ahh FlipaClip copies, spams ads every 10 seconds and steals animations
yeah and they would crash every time I would use it
well not really great, it is good for beginners but compared to other resources out there it’s just not great. I say it’s great at teaching people and helping people get started with coding.
ye I started with scratch when I wanted to make games
