@Desmond I can help. The transparent-ish arc that shows when the sword swings are used with (most likely) the Path Cursor tool and the Fill tool.
First I use the line tool to outline, and then I use the path cursor to adjust the shape, then I fill it in with white or black, and then I lower the opacity.
