Can I export the individual assets created in Wick Editor?

Hi,
My students are going to use Wick Editor as their animation software as, due to lockdown, they don’t have access to Adobe Animate.

Wick Editor looks great and seems to have the features we need. The tutorials are also clear so thank-you very much!

One of the requirements from the exam board is to provide evidence of assets used or created. If students create their own assets in Wick editor is there a way of exporting the individual image files? I have tried the save image option but it saves everything on the canvas for the current frames, including any handles and the canvas itself.

Thanks,
Tanya

Hello there, welcome to the forum. :)

By making a clip and pressing CMD E or CTRL E with the clip selected, you can download a wickobj file.

You can also import assets like images, audio, and wickobj files. They will show up in the asset library as proof of using assets. However, a user can upload an asset without using it, and in some cases, they can upload an asset, use it, and delete the asset from the library while keeping it in the project.

If you make the canvas as small as possible, like 1x1, or if you make the background transparent in settings, and you right click the canvas and select “save image as…”, you get a transparent image with whatever you can see in your workspace. The blue outline here is from the clip I made. By pressing “9” you can hide the blue outlines in the editor.
