Candlestick issue

What Wick Editor Version are you using?
Candlestick Version 1.0

Describe the Problem
Whenever you use a gradient tool for multiple frames on one object and play the animation, at first it seems like its normal and fine but when you stop the animation, the object is gone or onion skinned. If you play the animation again without questions, the frames of object WONT move and the object has the same position because of the onion skin.
My browser is on Chrome to let you know if its a browser issue or something else.

What have you tried so far?
I can’t really say I can tried to do something since I just went here really quickly.

Do you have a Wick Editor File that we can see? Optional*
Heres a graphic object and create frames while moving the object before you play the animation. My Project9-24-2025_18-37-09.wick (1.4 KB)

Images

This shows the object moving in 4 frames.

Whenever you stopped the animation with onion skin this will appear. Even if you move the frames it will show the object slightly visible unless you don’t have onion skin.

This shows what happens if you play the animation again, the object will stay in this position while the frames are playing because of that.

BONUS ISSUE

Whenever i went to take pictures of these images and went to a different website/app, i returned to this. This can only happen if you move the screen for a bit.

Wait… That isn’t chrome, it’s Chrome for Android. Maybe you’re on Chrome for iPadOS (which is just a reskin of Safari) but Chrome and Chrome for Android are slightly different.

I even attempted it on a chrome computer and it still went like that.

i was able to get it to bug out for a while, and then i tried it again and now it’s behaving as expected… we’ll need to spend more time finding the actual root cause.

additionally, in some cases (even with non-gradient objects), you can make it so that the shape’s color cannot be modified at all.

this seems to be linked to a bug with onion skinning that exists in 1.19.3/4, and it doesn’t even need gradients to trigger the issue. we’ll probably have to solve that bug before being able to address this one though.

aaaaand along the way i have also discovered a crash trigger that is ONLY in candlestick. yayyyyyyy. (so um, please try your best to not use the redo function…)
