that’s a great game.very well done under many aspects
on low spec pc is quite slow
Laggy for me.
Computer info:
Operating system: Windows 10 1909 (Os build 18363.1256)
Processors: (x5) intel core(tom) i5 cpu
Display adapters: NVIDIA geforce gts 250
The characters look great!
It works well on my device, yet a bit slow (I’m on Chromebook)
I’m on Windows 10 and on Chrome it runs slowly. Also the art looks very nice as always, but I feel like it is much too easy to dodge the enemy’s projectiles and the sword man’s sword. Probably because the game is running very slow.
macbook air, M1 chip, got in early 2021 (tldr, a new macbook air)
i believe it runs smoothly… maybe you can display the fps in the game and tell us what the expected fps is.
I cant move
Hi All, thank you so much for these tests and feedback. I’m working with Luca / @Luxapodular with regards performance of the WE. The reason why I did this is because I sent the same file to Luca weeks ago, but with 6 or 7 enemies at the same time, instead of 3, and the app ran smoothly (30fps) at his end, and it runs fine at mines as well. This is a very basic art… you know… Circles and sticks, no gradients… just basic shapes with colors…
Now this is a good wakeup call for us, because what we experience as developers (in my case app dev), is not the same of what the user will experience. I’m asking for more info… If you don’t feel confortable to share it in public for whatever reason, just reply to this message. “sent me an inbox @jovanny” or if you don’t want to share the info at all, just don’t reply. It is fine, no-one is obligated. If you do so, you will be contribute to this performance assessment.
I’ll be sending later in the week, a similar file, but with all the vectors converted to PNGs…
@blurredPixels Thanks, could you expand a little about those aspects so I could multiply them?
Could you also tell me about the OS, web browser, and RAM size of the PC that you ran this?
@Crafter_Flance Thank you for the Info, Could you also include the Web browser used and PC RAM size?
@Hamzah_Alani. Thank you. Could you also share PC RAM size?
@pumpkinhead. Thank you. This is using your dynamic change depth/order code combined with Clip heights to determined what to render on top of what. If you could also share the RAM size of those machines I’ll be grateful.
Yup, it is because of that probably…
@BaronAWC, Thank you for the info. Good point. The app FPS is set to 30fps. Has your device 8GB or 16GB of RAM?
@gamer_boi Could you provide the info about the machine in where you ran this game? OS, Web Browser and RAM size…?
My web browser is Google and my ram… is 16 MB (don’t make fun of my RAM)
I assume that is Chrome… for the RAM is the other way around… you have plenty of RAM. This is not for making fun of anyone. This is a serious request. Thank you @Crafter_Flance
im on a cromebook and even if i press the arrow keys it doesnt move
they move i cant move tho
Try to click on screen first (then try to move) to force the game canvas to be focused.
it started working
Hi Jovanny
I have quite alot of old pcs I use to test low performances on.
I tested on linux 4gb ram and win7 8gb ram
on both game was slower on firefox than on chrome
actually win7+chrome worked quite well.
Ah… side note
I pointed that in another thread
I tried to minify wickeditor engine and it passed from 2.2mb to 0.9mb
it would be really helpful if wickeditor produce a minified version of the engine
it also would be very good if WE enginw could be installed as browser extension! like old flash
my ram is 8 GB. i also noticed too that it runs slower on firefox. and i agree with @BaronAWC that you should include an FPS display to the game, because when playing the game i did not actually know how fast the game was running so all i could say was “it is slow”
Thank you for the info. awc has my same PC, so he is ok at his end.
Makes sense… (Display the actual FPS) I have never do that, I could figure it myself, or if you have code already for it, I could use it… I can send a new version with that… your RAM is fine. That is sufficient… Usually is related with RAM, but crafter has 16GBs, so now I have to assume that is a combination of things… but regarding the WE, I have a separate test showing that the problems are how the editor manages the vectors. I should change everything to pngs, which is a huge effort, because of how many animations the demo has already.
Could you point me to where you have that? I want to use it. I had to remove several sounds to make it less than 4Megs
what do you mean why did you put my name
