I’m trying to get beginning high school students to create a walk cycle based on a set of seven drawings they have made on paper of a character. I found this video tutorial but I am concerned about it getting too complicated trying to do the same thing this teacher demonstrates with drawings. How workable is my plan of having students copy their drawings into the editor and following the steps this teacher shows, using their drawings rather than geometric shapes?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqaAydT1jnU
Hello here is something they could do, you tell them to take a picture of their drawings with their phones or a camera, and then move the picture to the computer by a cable or a a micro sd card.
What they can do next is import the picture into the wick editor, add to canvas, and then trace them.
Hope this helps :)
Thanks! How would the tracing work? And could I modify the task shown in the tutorial?
Oh the tracing, well they have their picture in the canvas then they click on the brush icon at the top left or press b, then they just trace the drawing in the paper (the paper in the picture).
I will look into the tutorial to understand what you are saying better.
Well I didn’t understand what you were asking me but if you could explain it better I might be able to tell you.
I mean could they follow the same steps in the tutorial but replace the geometric forms with their own freehand copying of their drawings on paper? Or would it be too difficult to pull off?
But if they trace the drawing where does the image they imported go?
Yes they could actually
