hi I like the adobe animate interface, but are there things similar like
a) adding a trace
b) adding keyframes
c) scope finder
Im new to wick but like it for portability/modern capabilities …and it can only get more and more features :)
also every animation program can add keyframses if not than how would you animate?
thank you. i was just wondering if its the same way like f8. Also if animated gifs can be imported no need for keyframes (if it can import all into one frame)? Im trying to see the equivalent of
trace(“WCK”); if it doesn’t take “trace”. Someone should write a book/manual on wck! Thanks
Even though certain commands like gotoAndPlay()
are the same, wick editor uses javaScript for coding
You can use the reference sidebar to the left of the script editor to see editor-specific commands that deviate from JS.
And if you want to trace something, use the onion skinning button (near zoom ctrls)
gifs don’t work.
GIF’s can be imported, but the transparent ones break.
ah got it. would external library/movieclips import? In fact, I cant see the clips I made in Wick in the library, what am i doing wrong? In Animate I can see the symbols I made in librar?!
thanks. but not trace as in onion skin/outline… i mean like print “hello”… console.trace or any way to see a text message outside of the “Stage”… :)
