I was thinking maybie we could have your character about to give you a new character design and then the virus occors and then when you beat chapter 1 you give the main character a new disign

maybe ya’ll could make the train a train with a flat part like a flat thing at the end

Main conflict is Phil destroying the fighter’s world. Then either getting them under his control, getting them out of order, or at least scattering them.
Your main job is rescuing all your friends and then facing Phil
Chap 0 is intro
Chap 1 is rescue temperi, while using baron and having H.A as a side character.
Chap 2 is finding watrmeln as a survivor from Phill’s attacks and saving him from [incomplete]
Chap 3 is looking on where tryo and toria went and the player now learning they are both in trouble
Chap 4 is rescuing Tryo from Trio and his creations
Chap 5 is “rescuing” qringle Pringle’s Oc (sorry)
Chap 6 Phill coming in to make his own fighter: Textile (more info on him if you ask) you defeat and befriend him
Chap 7 is looking and finding static Alexis.
Chap 8 is about finding Toria, only to realize she’s not herself… Then you fix her before going off
Chap 9 [empty]
Chap 10: fight with phill

My own character would be based on the picture of a glass pyramid. Search it up/ look at what pringle has been helping me with

Maps aren’t mostly based on the character, but more of the scenario they are in.
Example:
Toria - missing files, rejuvenation station -
Tryo - uncomfirmed -
Baron - rails (not code lol) -
Alexis - Radio tower on a mountain -

Yes, if you want to, but you can stick to beeps and boops if you want/ character has no mouth

I explained it before, it’s supposed to randomize the background on the title screen. But you are free to remove it you have replacement

There is no main character, tempri is a representative of the player, you still play as all characters

Most of the time in the chapter featuring the character is not the only character you are going to play in

i mean, my idea (in which old baron feels forgotten) will probably be confusing because… well… you can’t tell baron and baron apart. and we’re not gonna call old baron “old baron” or “forgotten baron” or “boomer baron”. yours makes a little more sense because tryobyte and triobyte can be differentiated.

but then I kind of become a side character… i save temperi but that’s about it.

:thonk: i plan to have my new character have the power to create bluish-indigo… blindigo… indiblue… fire-laser stuff? idk that was a random idea. so I was thinking we could do something somewhat related to that.

He said that jumbleton’s controls feel weird and janky, because he stays still during attacks
I feel like during plasmioid and technicolor punch, jumble should move in that direction with less delay.
Also, nerf baron and buff jumble

What should we do now that 1.4.37 has blown over

Of course there’s some buffing and nerfing to do but is there anything else really?
I also may design a map layout once these changes are made

Update: random story mode idea
Mid final fight, philliment’s goons turn over to the good side and help fight against him for some reason
Maybe their pay getting docked or a random BEAM OF ENLIGHTMENT
And maybe throughout the game, there can be a merchant who you sell and buy stuff from, but he can use the stuff you sold him to fight you as a boss

yeah, I would like that there like “Argh I don’t get paid enough for this.” “Yeah, this guy has not been paying us since.” Yeah" “YEAH!” “It’s time to rebel!”

I’ll try to revisit this concept when I find the time, as I see it as possibly a way to have this file lose weight, and make some adjustments to make it suit the project’s current environment.

If hamzah’s idea works, we can recycle the beepbox songs kringle made for menus and arenas.
Story mode would also take up considerably less space

A bit off topic

This is the 2021st post. You almost passed the year number.

did a bit of play testing myself,
noted some major to minor problems

  • all characters have too high in-air mobility. i can do 8-loops in the air. make air control 0.5 weaker then normal and make dmg from falling off screen 30 instead of 50
  • gravity is to weak, makes games slow
  • due to how watrmeln’s attacks work; he is not affected by gravity while attacking AND due to his long attack animations, he can stay in the air for around 8 seconds just by attacking. its a bit… dumb
  • main reason of lag seems to e because of the shapes and lines on map frames, its only my guess as when i started testing in area 0 “testing grounds” its framerate is as high as the starting screen with only a little lag
  • you can mid air jump by walking off a platform and jumping
  • the opening and closing animation of the blue book uses the same one as the red one, making the blue book look red when the animation plays
  • on the library screen, both books can be opened, however, due to the layering, only one of the books can be read because the other will block it
  • lava and hit sprites stay on screen when you rematch
  • area 3 is MASSIVE its more then 3 times bigger then biggie tree or urban heat, it should be reduced to around 1.75 times bigger the biggie tree
  • watrmeln’s charge attack should be given a big dmg
  • not a bug or issue, but by pressing a combo of inputs (direction+jump+atk) you can super jump as Pumpkinhead

ill be doing some updates myself,
in the mean time, you folks could spread out and solve some of these problems

i think this is intended. it’s only supposed to be for, like, 1/3 of a second. when my friend was playing it, it was really laggy for him, and he didn’t even know the mid-air portion only lasted a short amount of time because he was playing at a solid 8-ish fps, and 1/3 of a second for 30 fps is… 10.

uh yeah, we need to make the graphics a bit… “worse”… to reduce lag.

or we could make wick.obj’s for them and put the entire stage on it

Eh, do whatever works, just keep in mind those aren’t the only 2 problems

  1. Fix character balancing
  2. Start story mode cutscenes and flesh out gameplay style and mechanics
  3. Brainstorm new ideas
  4. Make the keybinder work
