How did that happen?
The wick file works great from my side.
It shouldn’t be an issue with the audio file since it’s not that different from the last file.

Does the same issue happen again after you reload the editor?

no, it was in, though it still went to 6 mb

It might have to do with any other changes you’ve made to the file

If you need help with compressing the file, feel free to share the file here, I can take a look at it later today and find ways to compress the size

For audio files, you can use this to compress them:

Other things inside the actual wick file, such as clips/ buttons, assets, path objects, can be compressed by removing unnecessary objects, cleaning the code a bit, replacing some instances with images, avoiding duplicate clips, finding alternative methods, uniting paths, etc.

In the end, it depends on the project’s content.

A tip I’d give would be to unite path objects (of the same color)

It doesn’t create that great of a difference, though if you plan to add in more animations and such, it could be beneficial.

Example:

I just changed the file size by 0.1 MB by simply uniting path objects of the same color

With larger projects, this would make a greater difference

I’ve done more work on the game engine:

New Features!
  • Fast Fall by holding downwards-direction key
  • 2 players (finally)
  • New pixel-art character
  • Music implementation
  • More platforms on map
  • Dynamic camera! (smooth movement AND smooth zoom)
  • All full characters have the default attacks now (default ā€œbaseā€ character no longer has attacks)
  • Fixed controllable jump height (i accidentally used isKeyJustPressed() instead of isKeyDown()
