I have done more work on the engine, the base animations, added a side attack for the Q key and E plays a punch animation (no damage code yet)

If you make each button use gotoAndStop([frame of map]) it should work

also, i just checked the project, and WOW there are a lot of layers. Typically, you want at most 5 layers, anything more and you’ll probably want to use clips, mostly for organization.
Also, don’t forget to put stop();
in the default script for the map select frame
alright i am using alot of layers because it is our way of organizing and it makes it easy to navigate
