How do I open exported project on iPhone?

Hi guys.

i have created a very basic interactive training program using the Wick editor on my Windows laptop. I want to test if it works on my iPhone but I have no idea how to “get it onto” my iPhone.
Please could you tell me how I can achieve this?
thank you.
mejmag.

off the top of my head, one way to do this is to upload your project to itch.io, send the itch.io link from your laptop to your phone, and open it using your phone.

Nice one. I’ll give that a go tomorrow and get back to you to let you know how it went. Thanks for the advice mate :+1::+1:

good tip!
One small remark: if you want to show it (“use it”) you need to export it to HTML first.
(I think, @mejmag that you want to test the end-result of your animation, correct?)

hi guys. No joy I’m afraid. I exported the file as an HTML like you said, uploaded it to itch.io from my Laptop, then downloaded it from itch.io with my iPhone. When I open the file on my iPhone I just get a blank white page. I will have to try something else. I will try doing the same thing but with dropBox and report back.
cheers.

Success!! It worked using DropBox. Worked perfectly. Thanks for the tips guys, especially introducing me to itch.io, I’d never heard about it before but it looks exciting, lot of opportunities available on that site.
thanks again!!

you might’ve had issues with itch.io because when you upload the HTML to it, you want to:

  1. make it HTML
  2. upload your HTML file
  3. check “this file will be played in the browser”
  4. upload the project (there’s an option to make it mobile-friendly but i don’t know if that’s required for this to work)

i think that’s it… i forgor

this method embeds the html so that you can play it in itch.io, unlike directly opening the file.
