Please, consider to open that againā¦ I was looking for that to collaborate with people, so I donāt want to post incomplete delta changes of somethingā¦ I would want to share the work to the public when the work is mature enough or complete.
I would guess that pm was closed because it was misused or something?
I might recommend enabling people with a certain trust level to send pm?
(not saying that I donāt trust people here. pm is a way to collab with people
without awkwardly doing it publically)

for collaborations (read personal data exchange and work in progress details) PM are necessary in my opinion
look at recent collaboartions threads. they are very long and messy
very difficult to separate interesting part from service communications

also i think they still exist also probably mods can only view them when you report something but dont just report something just to talk to someone because thats abusive
