blue fire solid10-24-2024_10-56-13.html (2.4 MB)
Hello! I animated this and was hoping for some constructive criticism, if people have any. I am new to animation and don’t know a lot of stuff yet, so it would be really helpful.
I am just going to use this thread as a place to put my animation projects so that if something happens to my computer I can still download the file somewhere else. Feel free to ignore this. green slime10-20-2024_17-32-59.wick (1.6 MB)

It’s nice but I think you could make it faster, perhaps you could do it by taking refrence from an animated or real fire (Its how i did it)
Help with fire.wick (209.6 KB)
this is is a refrence if you want to take one, but you chould adhust it to match a REAL blue fire.
Typically, they affect at higher lengths then normal fires, but you probably already are aware of that.
also good idea for the file thing therefore ignore this aswell

Okay, first of all, thank you for the reference, it seems really good. I do have a question about it though, how on earth did you make it so that the entire thing is playing but it only looks like one frame. The only thing I can think of like that would be if you put it in a clip but whenever I put things in clips, when you scroll through the animation without playing it, it only shows the first frame of the animation, and the only way you can see the whole thing is if you play it or click edit timeline after selecting it.
Sorry if that was an incomprehensible question, I just am exited because if I could figure out how to do whatever it is you’re doing it would help me out a lot. if you don’t mind and know what I am talking about, I would love to know.
Just simply go into the inspector and tick synced.
once again, feel free to keep ignoring this, this just random unfinished projects I’m putting here to make sure I don’t lose them.

Also if anyone happens to see this do you know a way around the size limit my current main project is too large to put files in even as individual shots
Edit/update: so it turns out if your project is too big and you want to chop it down to individual scenes, instead of opening the original project and deleting everything except for the scene and then resaving the a new version, you should just copy and paste the frames into a new project because if you do the first thing the project will somehow be so much larger than it should be. (literally a file that should have been less than a hundred KB was showing up as more than four MB.)
You are one of the best artists you use Wick Editor, you could share it via cloud, and/or try to select all the lines and click them on “unite” to merge that it occupies less space
example your concept art:
concept art .wick (696.0 KB)
16% less
Thankyou! I’ll try that later and see if that helps.
