I’m sure most people get the assets straight from Minecraft’s game files though, if you have minecraft downloaded I recommend looking there. Here’s a short yt tutorial for how to do that.
Google “vanilla default texture file download” and look for one by planet minecraft, minecraft.net, or curseforge.
