If you were to animate a human figure

If you are to animate some one like SpongeBob…
The things to consider will be what?
According to my little knowledge I would suggest
-A character
-The character’s head drawing facing left right and front
-Shadow line
-Eye,mouth and nose&ear(optional for some)
-Lightning …
The rest I don’t know but I will try in my free time to animate on but not sure it will be nice.
Give me some suggestions you know👻
Thank you

I’ve been an animator - trained at Dysney and worked for many others over the years. I am now a multimedia product developer and I still animate. If you are asking what sort of things you need to make your character do for a portfolio or even a little character test. It should be.

  1. A walk cycle
  2. A run cycle
  3. Jump / or a skip
  4. Lifting something and make it look heavy.
  5. Falling over
  6. Talking
  7. A double take

That is a good start.

it can be an insult if you take it as an insult
if you take offense to a dude wearing a helmet idrk what to tell you

btw, my question about the topic is do you mean on rigs or drawn?
because if your talking about creating rigs i’d say your right about the head, face, shadow line, etc
I’d say create multiple rigs or versions of it with angles like a sprite sheet for all the body parts so you can get different angles of the character.
