Is Anyone Actually Updating or Maintaining This?

Is anyone actually working on or even maintaining this project? I understand it was donated but has that institution actually done… anything with it? If not then what exactly is the difference between donating it them versus donating it to archive.org where it could also just sit and not be maintained or updated?

Also, given this software has not been updated for over a year the mods need to stop closing old topics that are revived. Because if new people come to check out the software the old topics are still relevant given this project hasn’t been updated in well over a year.

my guess is that cmu students will develop wick as a project, so hopefully we see some stuff by september/october?

as for closing old topics, i will keep that in mind.

we all hope someone will pick up the developing.
Silence from Carnagie Mellon UNiversity is not much promising.
From my point of view developing wick is a huge task and the original owners stopped with a very good product that was still too green to be usable for business production.
Casual amateur users are unlikely to financially support open source software and they cannot cover the time need to do wickeditor

Well, there’s also people supporting Wick on patreon. $164 monthly to… who exactly? Who exactly is collecting that? Someone needs to report this to patreon because since this project is no longer supported, if that money isn’t going to Carnegie then patreon needs to pull that because the patrons are getting scammed or @Luxapodular needs to immediately cancel the patreon or transfer it to Carnegie.
