Is there a way to add sound to a gif?

I either want to know if there is a way to add sound to a gif, or make a video with sound repeat.

No you can not add sound to a gif, you can only get sound by exporting it as a video (welcome to the forums!)

i know i meant having a video file be able to repeat

gifs are incapable of having sound in them. and videos aren’t typically repeated by default. meaning they can repeat but you have to tell the video to repeat. and as far as i know there is no video file format that specifies it to repeat by default.

Yes, gif’s are supposed to be animated images, and images don’t talk or make sound

But… you can export a project as an html file with a looped animation and looped sound?

Also, once when I was doing an “online lab” for chem class, I had come by a video with a “loop” option when I right clicked it
