Is Wick Editor Dead?

I haven’t been on forums or editor in like a year or two and the thing that concerns me is that not much changed and the reason why I say the is because well I haven’t been on here in so long and nothing’s changed like when I look in the latest fourms it didn’t look like no body was there it just showed up with stuff I already seen and I introduced wick to my whole school and everybody started using it and no one really uses Wick anymore I know this is long but if you still use Wick and have noticed a change in how many people are on here let me know

candlestick is barely official

i know, but i meant like an actual update and not a unblocked one, but still alr know :3

the original developers of wick went off to do like, actual jobs and stuff. we’re doing what we can with candlestick, it’s at least maintained by the official moderation team so… close enough?

alright, ill take it :P

but candlestick is blocked on my school laptop and idk if there’s a way to directly install it (with an installer, no coding pizzazz needed)

We’re working on app versions for Candlestick in near future… but yeah being on a school device must be quite limiting—

When I started using wick I only had a school device so I feel your pain ;-;
kinda funny now when i tell people that i learned coding before i got my first computer
Something smart I did back then: I searched through my school district’s online website, they had a form where I was able to suggest tools for my school (you know, things like the tools/ softwares you use in classes). I was able to suggest Wick Editor as an “educational software” and since it was exactly that, and it was also free and online, it was easy for them to approve it and add it to their system.

Not telling you to do the same but it might be worth a shot, especially since Wick and Candlestick are both educational tools I don’t see why they’d be blocked.

I don’t think it’s dead but it might die in the next 10 years or so. I mean i just joined so what do i know?

it could die because many people are moving into advanced animation software like me
