ok i forgot about this but the video is cool!
oh, no, i just hate the fact that it’s abandoned.
there’s also @StickmanRed’s fork, which has some features already that might make me switch over from Flash 8… keep up the good work lads
I’m stI’ll gonna use jQuery because it loads faster.
For a matter of fact, I’m making it a overlay style with dialogs and modals.
Python. Fast. Battle. Command Block!!! RISE OF THE PROGRAMERS!
since no one’s answering, and I code websites on the side, coding is far easier than animating anything for me. i always finish more code than any animations, especially nowadays where my art has a larger focus
Uhhh… Speaking of coding, Haxe still exists! (The programming language made in from 2005 as a replacement AS2.)
Speaking of coding, C++ exists somehow… (I mean, like a programming language from 1985 to replace C?)
and yet they’re both still used to this day… just like Javascript. And Assembly. And COBOL. And so on…
Some bank systems use the Blockchain too. Also, the teacher of Linus Torvalds at university, trash talked on Linux when it appeared on the servers, because it wasn’t modular enough. And look now, no kernel is truly 100% modular. ROBLOX uses Lua, a language from the 80s to be a simple learning language!?!?!
I think they were referring to the new Alan Becker video lol. But yeah, I also find coding easier than animating. Maybe because it’s something I’ve been doing for a while now, or I don’t have the patience to draw a bunch of frames.
It was one of the most amazing educational animations to ever exist! (As usual. :P) I don’t usually code in Python, so I only understood the first half of references, but the code-battle was cool.
i was an ex-python guy, it was my first language, i saw the the sacred import pandas as np
and import pymathplot as pl
.
Yes, I am talking about the episode.
Update: I’m using the normal UI now .
I decided to make a player in electron instead.
I’m back with Ideas!
I see this thing were @glottisfandango keeps referencing Macromedia Director, and thought, what if i made Macromedia Director, from the bits of WebAnimate Legacy? And that is the new idea:
NB Studio!
That’s the name for the idea, and here are the proposed changes for this webapp:
- Use
.nbs
file format - Allow for global scripts, classes and more
- Possible implementation:
load("ScriptName.js", {opt: "opt"});
- Class version:
loadClass("Script.class.js", {nameOpt: "opt"});
- Possible implementation:
- Allow for quicker flow of creation
- eg. Easier way to make Clips, Frames, and more…
That’s what i think would make a good/great tool!
It’s not near even a first version, but here it is:
