I made a faster framerate example of what you’re talking about. The Squash and Stretch method, I like to call it.
I think Alan Becker used those in his new video
squash and stretch is one of the 12 fundamentals of animation that every animator should know to make their animations more lively and “animated”.
I like the idea of mixing both methods and I have done it before.
Also sometimes when something passes by really quickly you sometimes want to add those triangles to both sides(without the sqaush and strech application) and only if an object passes by.
