Hold the mouse down on a random place, then move your mouse somewhere else, then hold the mouse down first, then the space bar, and it somewhat tries to take you back to the last place you had your mouse down before clicking space. Here’s how:
Also, if you release the space bar before the mouse, it takes you back to before panning.
