Persona themed card game

Pretty simple. I’m working on a persona themed card game.
I just need ideas for more mechanics.

I don’t have any art for it currently but I’m working on it.

In general.
It’s a turned based combat card game.
You start with 3 cards, one of 4 types:
Defense
Support
Offense
And persona.

Support cards don’t end your turn so you can use those as much as you want.
After each draw, you gain MP.
You can only draw cards when your hand is empty, or refill your hand manually by ending your turn early.
If you end your turn early, you gain 5 additional mp per unused card.

I plan to add:
Specific person abilities
Menus
Items
Specific enemy types
Status effects
And the likes

But thoes are pretty standard obviously.
I want to have this have its own unique mechanic.
But I don’t got any clue what to do.

I was thinking maybe some kind of persona charged ability?
Like, using your persona adds to a charge that can have some kind of effect when filled or something.

Idk.
Not many ideas.
I’m probably not going to just copy any story from a current persona game but I’ll definitely use some ideas.

I do also plan to make any visuals a pixel art style.

I’m think this is a solid start but I feel that you should be able to know who’s turn it is at all times, and some numbers should be clearly states because I no clue what the number is above the refill button that goes up every turn and I have no clue what the 50 means on the enemy side. Otherwise I can’t wait to see how this develops, it’s kinda hard to test and give why I think at this very early stage so hopefully in the future I can help test more :)

Ah, sorry for the confusion their. The left side is the players side. The top numbers are hp, and the number below is the sp

I’ll likely make my own music or get someone’s help. I don’t really have a vibe for it yet so I wouldn’t know what the songs would even sound like.

I’m going to start working on some basic visuals. For example, I’ve made the back of the cards so they don’t just dissapear when they are used
