yeah, that would work, probably. Thank you for thinking along! But I am using these animations in a quite complex HTML environment. I would like to change as little as possible.
For now, I am starting every wick in a iFrame and "fysically " removing the iFrame from the DOM if is being hidden, but even that is quite a lot of work to keep track of. I would much rather wick behaving a bit more aware of its environment…

In another thread I suggested to develop a wick player as browser extension and had a try at minifying the engine
I know it is not the answer at your questions but the two requests have points in common

doing many interactive projects I’m often struck by the size of the wick engine compared to the real project It would probably be great if we could have the wick engine as browser plugin. the loading of the html pages would be greatly accelerated. I stumbled on kango extensions that should do the trick (https://kangoextensions.com/ ) it would be great if the page could verify if wick plugin is present and load the js if not.
