Has this bug been reported already?
nope

Describe the bug
when you have a subclip (a clip inside a clip) and you break apart the outer clip, the subclip cannot be deleted. when broken apart, it shows the original shape that can now be deleted along with an empty clip (shown by the + sign) that can’t be deleted. (plus a few odd details.)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the bug, if you have them:

  1. make a few shapes. i made 3.
  2. make one of them into a clip.
  3. select them all and make a clip.
  4. break apart the clip.
  5. the clip you made in step 2 cannot be deleted, plus a few weird quirks.

Expected behavior
steps 1 and 4 are the same.

  1. the clip you made in step 2 is normal and deletable.

Do you have a suggested solution to this issue? (ex. has another program fixed this bug a certain way? Are you familiar with where in the code base someone would need to fix this issue?)
it was fine in 1.18 (I’m pretty sure), so wherever the 1.19 edits were made, it should be somewhere there??? (haven’t seen the code, just guessing)
