Man invents time travel and goes back to the dinasour age and says:

But then the asteriod a few thousnad miles away, and the sound wave dissangrates his time machine, and he stares where his machine was

I think you should try in your style and maybe add a few slight things if you want, this is just a idea.
If you want maybe you could a curve of a circle and add a manual gradniet by making it a clip and doing several layers. and i come by the screen for a half or a full second passing by.

Also for the background you could add volacanoes, cave, orange rocky style hills, a orange sky, etc.
