hi there, is there a way to translate and use wick editor in any other language?
A part of Wick Editor’s language are made up of built-in commands, and it uses Javascript.
There are some code translating websites, where you plug in your code, and translates it to another coding language. They might not work that great with Wick editor projects
If you want your project as an html, you can always export it as an html file.

you mean something like from english to spanish, right?
if so, if you use google translate and translate the website, theoretically it should change stuff to be in that language. the javascript will remain english.

well thank you for the idea, but this is not for myself. I hope wick editor to be useful for children. Therefore it could be troublesome for kids to use page I think. But I will try to use with translator let me see.

Something I noticed is that the desktop version of Wick Editor has different language packs in the locales folder…it looks like this
So hypothetically, there should probably be a way to specify the language of the desktop Wick Editor. For example, the fr.pak file should set it to French, en-US is for English (United States), etc. I haven’t figured out how to change it yet though. But if I figure out how to change the language in the desktop version, I will let you know.

The tool we use to build Wick Editor does have the ability to translate the editor, though this will be a significant undertaking. Definitely something we want to consider and get community help for!

Is it possible to change the language in the downloadable version by specifying which language pack to use? I tried a few things to change the language pack but none of them have worked so far.
@Luxapodular alright I think developers could let community to translate the software and web ui as well with transifex or similar tool. I am up to help!
This is something I will look into for possibly version 1.2! It will take a bit of work to set up throughout the editor but is super important!
