Transparent gifs are invisible

Describe the bug
when i try and add a transparent gif to my animation it shows up as invisible

To Reproduce
1: import a transparent gif
2: add it to the canvas
3: doesnt show up

Expected behavior
when a transparent gif is added to the canvas it shows up invisible

Do you have a suggested solution to this issue? (ex. has another program fixed this bug a certain way? Are you familiar with where in the code base someone would need to fix this issue?)

This problem has not been fixed yet and the best luck you have is taking every frame and importing it yourself! Sorry but unless Carnie university does something with wick, nothing new will happen

Maybe try ezgif.com, it has a tool to turn GIFs into a bunch of PNGs, then import them all, and create a clip out of the GIF… Maybe I could build an automation tool for that… :face_with_monocle:

I don’t think your problem can be fixed! The wick people haven’t made something new in like YEARS. It’s better using a fork like @noobfield wick wrapper. Or @StickmanRed’s fork on GitHub.
