in git, a fork is a copy of a repository that people can create to make their own changes. so when people are talking about “forks” of wick, people are taking wick’s code, cloning it, and adding their own features.

for candlestick specifically, alani wrote a pretty good guide in the github readme. though, you will need to know a good enough amount of javascript and node.js to understand the source code and be able to edit it.
