White screen freeze / Application hangs and loses progress on Windows

Hello. I am using the Wick Editor desktop application (Version 1.19) on Windows. Suddenly, the entire application window completely turned white. It didn’t crash to the desktop, it just froze on a solid white screen.

Because of this bug, I completely lost 30 minutes of my animation work. The “Autoload / Auto-save” feature did not work upon restarting, and using “Ctrl + S” during the freeze did not save the file either.

This is a critical issue that completely ruins the user experience and destroys hard work. It looks like a lot of people have this exact bug.

the candlestick fork of wick editor should be more stable than wick 1.19, which you can read about in the pinned topic.

if you encounter the crash again, please open/screenshot the console and do your best to remember the steps to reproduce the crash so that we have an idea of what could be the problem.

(and just a word of warning, all the desktop apps for work and candlestick are experimental. the web apps are the most reliable.)
