Wick browser plugin

doing many interactive projects I’m often struck by the size of the wick engine compared to the real project
It would probably be great if we could have the wick engine as browser plugin.
the loading of the html pages would be greatly accelerated.

I stumbled on kango extensions that should do the trick (https://kangoextensions.com/ )

it would be great if the page could verify if wick plugin is present and load the js if not.

So it would be like a flash player for wick?

yes kind of

I see this topic did not excited you as expected :smile: still I think that something should be done to optimize wick engine for interactive projects
Just to make I test I minified the wickeditor engine (1.19.3)
the file has gone from 2.2mb to 0.9mb. Less than half the original weight!
And it’s likely that part of this code is needed only for the editor gui
@Luxapodular
Do you think it’s possible to add a setting to produce a very compact js for html/zip export?

wickengine.min.js.zip (272.7 KB)

what I am wondering is if it would be possible to create a smaller player only for wick?
That would also speed up the loading?..
