Hey there! I’m very excited to participate in this.

By the way, I was making a web-series that was going to be published in Youtube, and it was made on Wick Editor: Candlestick. So, am I allowed to submit that animation here? It contains dialogue, and of course; A lot of expressions!

Good luck to everyone :)

Can you do it in a group?

Can it be anything as long as it includes lots of motion and expression?

@DanteMations as long as the animation is made entirely in Wick or a fork, you should be allowed to submit it. However, doing extra compositing (e.g. editing the exported video in external software) is not allowed.

@nate_henry I’m actually not sure what the rule on teaming is so Anthony would have to answer this, but my guess is no. Also keep in mind that even if teaming is allowed, the prize would have to be split among the teammates if the team wins (which is kind of hard to do for a skateboard).

@Gabriel_Brown as long as you think the animation fits the theme of motion and expression, it should be allowed! Your animation doesn’t need to have anything to do with the original film’s premise.

Also, one last question, if I have the animation done BUT I want to edit it, am I able to edit some audio? Since that’s not related to the animation but audio. I’m asking this since wick editor has some issues with the audio sometimes. By the way, is the skateboard deck prize optional to claim it or not? For example, if i win, can I get to pick if I want it or not?

If there are issues with the audio, I’m sure you’ll be allowed to give us the .wick file and we can watch that instead of the video export. (In fact I would guess that you are required to submit the .wick file anyway)

(Also, you’re allowed to edit audio externally to your heart’s content, as long as you import said audio into your project, use it directly in Wick, and save/export the project for us to view.)

I’d imagine theres nothing wrong with declining a prize, though you can’t expect to substitute the skateboard deck for anything else.

Aw man, I wish I saw this earlier. I don’t think I can give a submission :(
