To everyone still waiting on the Art of Weightlessness animation contest, we’re sorry that it’s taking so long. In the meantime though, we can hold a little event…
So this upcoming weekend, Candlestickers is going to hold a watch party!
During the watch party, we will watch all the submissions to the Art of Weightlessness contest, as well as some community-submitted works. As an extra bonus, we will share a couple things we’ve been working on for Candlestick.
This will be held in the Candlestick Discord, and it will also be streamed to YouTube for those who can’t make it. Please vote for what day and time you are able to join us, and hope to see you there!

I am writing to announce the winners of our Art of Weightlessness Wick Editor Animation Contest!
I want to start by saying that we at the Entertainment Technology Center appreciate your investment in the contest and the results and we sincerely apologize for the delay in our announcement. According to the metrics on this post, many more users saw the thread after the close of the contest than before – and we’ll keep this in mind for future community engagement events.

In 2nd place with their animation Ribbon Dance is @jahnocli! 
Jahnocli, the voting group here at the Entertainment Technology Center watched Natalia Gaudio’s rhythmic gymnastics routine from 2016 and were hugely impressed with your ability to capture her motion so fluidly and elegantly in so few frames. Kudos and congratulations!

Anavfunvideo, you said it best in the body of your submission – you covered a wide range of emotions without faces by showing interactions between the “subject” of the animation and an omnipotent force. Kudos and congratulations to you as well.

I will contact both winners off-platform to follow up about getting the prizes to you – because I don’t know where you are in the world I will have to talk to you 1:1 about how to make sure the prizes end up in your hands.
