Wick Editor Exporting Problems

I just got finished making an animation but when I exported as a video, it was just frozen solid. Nothing in the animation moved at all and the Vcam was showing. So I tried to export it as a gif, it was good but then the Vcam thing was still showing at the start. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Just looked at my gif again and no, turns out it wasn’t fine it was actually flashing colors and looked nothing how it did on the editor.

What version of Wick Editor are you using? (Online, downloaded, app…)

Browser version.

I was asking because the downloaded versions are very glitchy with the exports. Maybe try screen recording it with another software? You can use alt+k to open a preview window.

What are some good screen recording softwares that don’t lag the program?

You can download Screencastify as a Chrome, Chromium (Edge for example), or Firefox extension to screen record it, or the Chromebook has a built-in screen record feature.

There are two other solutions you can try (depending on the project)

Export without audio

If your project has any audio, it might be the reason for the exporting issue. Try exporting your animation into an mp4 file without any audio, and then add in the audio files to the animation file using another software (I usually use this to add audio to mp4 files).

Split Animation into Different Parts

If you have a long animation, then exporting issues are more expected. You can, though, split your animation into seperate projects and export each into seperate mp4 files, then combine them using another software (I usually use this to combine mp4 files).

@WickNewbie’s solution (screen recording it) also works :+1:
