make the software less buggy, allow usage of webp files, and make it so that i could actually use gifs without having to deal with a minor inconvenience. that’s all.

  2. webgp are just png’s, just convert webps to pngs…
  3. you can just drag a gif onto the stage and it automatically becomes a clip.
    Wick Editor is at a dormant state so their might not be a chance they will update :sob:

I get that barely anyone here understands the source code, but someone’s gotta make a fork. Just not me.

I feel like someone has shown a guide to get gifs to work but it’s still pretty annoying.

i would but i once had adobe animate on my windows 8.1 but soemthing deleted my files and i had to get it all over again

I don’t think Adobe is the problem here buddy. Although an older, Macromedia version wouldn’t hurt as opposed to CC.

Also Windows 8.1, dang, either go to 7 or take the Linux pill

i agree with webp and gifs.

  1. i use the web. idk if theres a difference but i use the website and im on a macbook pro 13.4

  2. if using a macbook, right click the webp and press get info. then at the name and extension, there should be the name of the file and then a .webp for that, change the webp into a png and then close it, there should be a pop up that asks if you want to change it or keep it and press change. for windows, do the same but with file explorer. its basically the same idea but for windows it may be different.

  3. i dont know how to use it. its never appears. what i would have to do (not very recommended) is to put the pngs out of the gif and then put then manually in. good thing is that you can copy and paste.

i could try but i still got good games on there like steam.

You could play those games on Linux through Proton or natively without it, gaming has progressed a lot in terms of Steam thanks to Valve.
Not to say that Linux is easy but it’s certainly easy for what you’re trying to do.

How to what?
Make the software less buggy? -> Just try using it and dealing with those bugs, I can’t shill alternatives forever
Convert webp to png? -> Use cloudconvert or a website that’s more free?
Get a gif working without importing an image sequence? -> How to import a gif that won't import
