Apply button on settings

This is very small, but it is bugging me every single time… I expect that after hitting the Apply button, this window will close automatically, but not, instead we have to click Apply and then [x] button at the upper-right corner.

Am I the only one expecting this behavior? (comments?)

Well that’s how the “Apply” button works in all applications that I use. But usually there is also an “OK” button next to it. If they added an OK button, then I expect the behavior of that button to behave the way you expect the “Apply” button to work.

Understand, I think that you are right, and I knew it. I guess in this particular window, for me makes more sense to have a different button. I don’t see useful the scenario in where I want apply a change and have this window open to apply a second change… even for the background color we have a preview there…

I think that what I wish is to make the change and continue working without having to click the “close” button which is more like an “Apply and Close” button together, which it would be probably the behavior of an “Ok” button.

Everytime I click the apply button, I freeze for 5 seconds expecting the window to close, then I remember that I should click the very tiny [x] button, which annoys me.

Do you know what would be useful? If the key, “escape,” was a shortcut. We should be able to exit any type of window that’s opened by pressing “escape.” If we’re adding code, we click “escape” to close the script, “escape” to exit an objects timeline, “escape” to unselect an object, it’ll just make life way easier #feature-suggestions

i guess the first time it didn’t close automatically, i just went with the flow and never thought of it being annoying. i was like “ok it is what it is and its fine” cuz that extra step didn’t bug me too much.

Same here.
