Can we Candlestick users get a quick statement on the status of the fork?

I know that GitHub lays out you guys’ activity and contributions to the fork, but a formal update on what’s going on with its development will be nice.

here’s the rundown…

  • I am currently in midterm/college purgatory so i’ve been relatively inactive, but every now and then i poke at the undo crash and the brush.
  • alani is also in purgatory but i think he’s going to prioritize gif/video export quality if he ever has time.
  • jovanny has stepped down from making contributions, but he’s still moderating the forum.
  • stickmanred has been more active with bug fixes, but no one’s had the time to peer review.
  • bogo/zrispo, one of the co-founders of wick, semi-recently came back to help us out! he’s mostly helping us upgrade from node 14 to node 24.

On the topic of Candlestick, I notice a small, harmless bug in the timeline while playing around with it.

In the timeline, you can execute this bug by dragging a frame of any length over towards the left menu of the timeline (if you go a little too far, it will deselect the frame), where it has to be almost completely covered by the menu. Then, without deselecting, trigger the context menu (e.g. by right-clicking on your mouse) and you’ll see that all that’s left is a seemingly empty frame placeholder except there’s a circular frame indictor in its place (as seen in screenshot 1).

After pressing the undo and then redo buttons, the indicator (without a white background) still appears (after redoing) without me executing the bug again, as seen in screenshot 2.

This occurs in all newer versions of Wick Editor and its forks (includes Candlestick).

Overall, this should be a simple one to fix, in addition with the whole load of other bugs that needs fixing.

same here…

WHAAA? HOW’D YOU TWEEN THE LEGS.

My animation file crashes whenever I open it (it shows Error code: Out of memory) is there a way I can salvage it

There is also a glitch where if you copy and paste a gradient and change one of them then both of them changes into the same thing even if they are in different frames

how the heck did you skew tween the legs TELL ME RIGHT NOWWWW

That’s a new feature in StickManRed’s fork. He’ll add it to Candlestick later.

he actually figured it out wow 🥹

add gradient outlines

You could do that yourself, by doing 2 gradient boxes, nad making one bigger

the improved color/gradient selector will support this (if i remember correctly)!
