Candlestick 1.0: A New Fork of Wick Editor

We just pushed a hotfix that disables pasting from the device clipboard by default due to issues with the new feature. The new default is “Wick Clipboard Only” mode, but if you think the feature was working just fine before, you can go into the editor settings to re-enable “Device & Wick Clipboard” mode.

In theory this should resolve most people’s problems with pasting, but please don’t hesitate to submit issues if you still have them. (We’re still looking for help with getting the device clipboard to work as reliably as possible, so if you are willing to test it out we’d appreciate it!)

please add it i would love to not just have the basic dark theme all the time! :-)

oh and maybe other themes would be cool to! (if that’s possible!)

Huh, it has always been in beta. Even in Legacy Wick.

Even with the video changes it will still be beta, but we’ll decide after the fact.

We are planning to finish improved exports by 1.1. For now, the test editor has an improved video exporter but I believe the audio is still faulty at times. there will probably be a 1.0.3 as well before 1.1.0, which will have some bug fixes.

customizable layouts are in consideration. i don’t think we are planning to do it for 1.1 since we’re working on stability and improving the existing features, but it may come for 1.2 or later.

I can’t find the gradient tool in candlestick anymore, did it get moved?

the gradient tool was moved from a button in the inspector to being directly inside the color picker.
