So yeah quite different this time around I might do a III but I would really like someone else to do one. @Jovanny @bluecake ???

I noticed that your drawings consisted of ‘cloudy/puffy proportions’. I think the way you interpret the characters are… interesting… but I think they’re albeit too buffed up and different. It looks like as if you drew them to be ripped with muscles (you even added the beard too).

Is there a reason for this? Because it’s not bad to draw your interpretation of characters (very much like fan art), but I think you need to follow their ‘character model’ (essentially what they look like in the original artists piece).

nice drawings, @Jonathan_Obele
I’m gonna rate this 9/10 (good)

questions:
1: why do I have a beard (it’s fine not a big deal)

That’s certainly interesting… You say you didn’t really change the characters much (and I suppose for yorro (the yellow one)) that is true, but pubot (the other one obviously there’s only two of them and yorro is excluded since i already mentioned him and the name i gave him leaving one character left so that must be the purple one so i don’t need to write this long side-note thing explaining that this is quite long so i probably should break into a new paragraph after this for readability i am purposefully extending the length of the sentences enclosed within these parentheses)

but pubot looks very different. i guess it’s because you thought of him more like a bat which makes sense because he has bat wings and is flying in the picture… so now he looks more like some kinda pet rather than a “person” (or maybe you were thinking bird but idk i would say bat). Honestly when designing him i just kinda threw random things together i guess, i wasn’t intending on him being a sort of bat. And actually the wings were the last thing to be added just because i thought it would make him more unique.

(and also I was wondering why you made his feet cast-colored)

Also I noticed in some illustrations there are some curves that don’t make sense. for example for yorro the curve on the left of his body, and also you kinda draw hands so it looks like they have no hands and just arms, wait i mean you draw hands so it kinda looks like they have none i must have put the “kinda” in the wrong spot when revising my forum reply after proofreading it do people normally do that?.

i think by “redrawn characters” he means the characters given to him but with his own twist added to it, because that’s also what he did in the prequel

(unless that’s what you mean by “interpretation of characters”)

@pumpkinhead I see I may have changed the original designs a bit un-nuanced. I also pictured them having wngs and not hands and being like bird creatures. I guess the curves may look a lot different as well but that was more purposefull

This is a bit of a tricky topic… I was gonna give my opinion and example of what a redraw could be like, but this whole idea of it is very broad…

So I guess I’ll just leave this here then…? (I’m unsure to the purpose of redrawing… I might’ve misinterpreted it being similar to fanart)

(I drew it in wick too)
