That random backgound is set up, waiting for backgounds to be put in it
I’m gonna start composing the menu theme
If somebody finds a midi or something from onlinesequencer.net that would be good for the menu them tell me
It’s Sun Tzu, just saying
I really prefer 3rd person, I think it makes the game better.
2nd is more unique, i like involving the player
if you didn’t read my giant post up there, please do, I put all my reasons there.
- 3rd person (make a character)
- 2nd person (you are the main)

Okay I just played with a couple of friends and their only critiques were to:
- Add a win screen
- Make it so you can’t hit the other person through the bottom of the platforms
- Make the attack cooldown faster
win screen, definitely. i’ll add that if i can.
not being able to hit other people through platforms will be hard.
attack cooldown can be changed very easily.
@pumpkinhead maybe add a projectile-type attack? could be useful.
- control x-velocity and y-velocity
- control duration (disappears after some amount of time)
- control whether it disappears when hitting a platform
They also wanted to be able to control the direction of the attack like have an up, down, and middle
@pumpkinhead @awc95014
Yes this would be awesome
And I think we should save the story mode for last because not many people are going to play that and we should get all the fighting down first.
Also @awc95014 @pumpkinhead when do you think you could finish the multi-directional attacks by?
Oh I didn’t know
We can still work on the multiplayer while the story is being set though
So @mlgcoolguys_1 gave me a job to do which was to remake this map I had 2 choices find the original wick file and if I couldn’t I could trace it I couldn’t find it so I traced it
here it is (also giving the wick file if you want it idk why you would want it doe lol) My Project4-23-2021_16-01-14.wick (147.1 KB)
actually, i’m doing that right now. i’ll also add the win screen if i know how to.
this is what i have right now. there’s a win screen, a 3-2-1-go and finish display-thingy-idk-what-it’s-called. the players freeze when they are active. the art quality of all these are horrendous because i just made a PoC for them.
there are also directional attacks. you set those attacks in player1 and player2, but those should be put in the characters now that i think about it.
a few bugs i found:
- the info tab on the main menu keeps doing its cool glitchy thing while the transition is playing. it shouldn’t be glitching while transitions are playing.
- the game is now semi-repeatable, but when you play another game, the attack hitboxes and player animations are still exactly where they ended when the previous game ended. there are still attack hitboxes and characters, but it just leaves extras behind.
- a few others you will see in the following video.
if any coder can help: @pumpkinhead @Hamzah_Alani @gamer_boi can help, that would be appreciated. (others can help too, but these people put “coder” in a poll near the top of this topic)
FFR 1.3.0 (known bug baron cant fix)4-23-2021_15-27-27.wick (386.0 KB)
and as an incentive, the person who edits this and solves the problems can add their own splash text/tagline. i’m only saying this because i can, and i can because i’m a leader… i think i’m the main one but i don’t really know.
ah no, I intentionally made the info tab like that! I thought it was a cool idea if it does that while the transition happens (I even made the variable to check if its transitioning), though if you didn’t like it, I could remove it.
No it looks nice
okay, thought it was unintentional. it did look that way. not sure if other users will complain and think it’s a bug though.
it does kinda look nice, but it feels more like a bug than a fancy addition. i would personally remove it, but at least 2 people already like it, so it can stay.
