yeah shure also I made it so that you can press enter to pause FFR 1.3.27 attack animations5-13-2021_13-41-39.wick
first I made it darken when you pause
Edit: fixed it FFR 1.3.27 attack animations5-13-2021_13-47-43.wick
i think we should just remove the pause button, it’s just unnecessary. a game is likely to last a minute or less, and there’s going to be a lot going on. online play won’t be paused, and in-person play (2 people on 1 keyboard) can just be paused when both players don’t move.
maybe we can have a forfeit/terminate/cancel button that you have to hold to go back to the main menu.
- yes, delete pause button
- no, keep it

mabie we can add it in story mode
How about we keep it for the story mode? I’ll still improve it-
what he said.
mabie move the pause part to a seprate frame and we’ll work on it til story mode
I’ll just place a quick patch where the pause menu is in a different frame (I also removed all the intro splash lines from the intro)

Baron, I see what you mean, but a pause button isn’t always used to just pause the game.
A pause button usually pauses the game to … well, pause the game, but it’s also used to give the reader a menu of options, such as “help,” “keys,” “exit,” “settings” (volume/ graphic settings?), or etc.
So I think it would be useful, this is just my opinion
actually, yeah, that’s a very good point.
but moving to a different frame to pause doesn’t. i think it’ll confuse the code by leaving the frame, deleting everything and resetting. we can overlay it with something opaque if we shouldn’t be able to see what’s going on. or something transparent if we want to see the current state.
check the update log/billboard for my updates.
