Well, normally I would agree(with your statement). But I am making these to test secret codes for future Easter eggs.
I’m try to hit the perfect mix if difficulty while it seeming impossible >:)
So I am getting a little assistance from H.a, since he dropped my little code in less then a fraction of the time it took refining it

uh… sorry we aren’t using that. i’m not anyway.

the fighters should make their own animations. or if they want, let others do it for them. but my animations should be done with my own OC reference, not just drawn freely by another person.

@mlgcoolguys_1 @Hamzah_Alani regarding the secrets.

not sure what “good luck even finding it” means, but the secrets should at least be visible to the user somewhere. otherwise, it is 100% spam. putting it where a user could actually see and crack the code is okay, but it’s still kinda spam since it’s not actually helpful. like 60% spam.

if you want to talk about the secret code, you should at least combine that conversation with a relavent conversation. (basically, piggyback your off-topic conversation onto a relavent one.)

i would suggest that the code has something to do with the secret character, like the key combination to obtain it. or the code should give a hint at the secret character.

Are you referring to Peralfa as the secret character?

Meanwhile I am kinda itching to add your character attacks, so if you did have some ideas or plans for your moveset prepared do show :eyes:

I think I made a working character select FFR 1.3.28 (patch 2)5-15-2021_19-04-37.wick and it works kinda like the old ff where if you go to the stage without seeing the character select screen it throws you an error. I just made a few variables and made them true or false depending on what you chose.

Hey wait where did you add the code?

i think it was in each of the character buttons and the char_select frame. i forgot exactly where they were though, don’t take my word for it.

the code for the vars are in the char select scene and the code for changing it to be true or false is in the character pic for p1. the code for changing the character animaions are in the players default script

YAAY i figured out how to make the character select screen functional for 2 players!

A bug im fixing

The only problem i have is that when I try to use the WASD keyboard controls for P1, it only changes the character art.

The update script for the screen is mostly the same for both P1 and P2

and the default script… well im not sure what was wrong.

I’m still working on baron’s character animations at the moment, but I’ll continue finishing the animations tomorrow.

Update 1

So apparently I added the update script to all of the objects twice… and it overwrote the previous update script… oop.

Now to have the select anim do the fade animation
