I WORKED 5 HOURS ON THIS PROJECT WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING AND I DIDNT SAVE IT, SO PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Hey, that’s funny, we just finished solving a guy’s problem with that before! Someone even converted the file for them! cough @Hamzah_Alani

ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT USE ALL CAPS AND ADD SOOOOO MANNYYYYYYY LETTTTEERRRRS BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU COME OFF AS BEING IMPATIENT OR JUST NAGGING. I GET THAT YOU LOST YOUR PROGRESS BUT YOU’VE GOTTA LIMIT YOUR EMOTIONS SOMETIMES. K THX

lmao I think I know the tool you’re trying to use, I’m the one that made it and I made it that tricky on purpose to make sure people did read it

Though hey, no worries, you can send the HTML file here and I can convert it to wick for you.
By sending the HTML file here though, you confirm that the file has been created by you. If you send a file here that I recognize from elsewhere, I won’t be exporting it for you.

Oh yeah, that was pretty annoying to get through, but it makes a lot of sense, since it means people can steal people’s stuff and get all the credit if the thief is able to get rid of all traces of the original.

i cant upload a attachment because im new user

my problem will never be fixed

but tell me how you did it

I have leveled up your user level to allow you to upload files (mod power)
Try now

Don’t be so pessimistic! We’re here to help you out—that’s why the Wick forums were even made.

I can tell you instead!
So, when you export your project as a single HTML file, Wick embeds your project as a data URI. If one would want to recover their file, they’d have to find that ultra-long URI, select it, copy it, and paste it into their browser. Their browser would then download the file as… “file”, and you can rename it to something like yourfilenamehere.wick.
This is how I remember it, though, I don’t usually recover Wick files often, and when I do I use @Hamzah_Alani’s converter.

file is too big, so here is link https://www.mediafire.com/file/9x177mdistc0h9o/GoldClockwrk+Alpha210-16-2024_0-20-00+-+Copy.html/file

Here you go! It opens properly, too:
goldclockwork.wick (1.4 MB)
Here’s the site I used to decode it, since I’m kinda too lazy to find the file that I usually use to convert it:

Edit (again): I found the file

Also, the game’s pretty good, but how do I fight anything? Ctrl doesn’t work… clicking doesn’t work… the game doesn’t tell you, either.

how do you do that?

When you export a project as a single html file, it spits out the project into the source code of this file as a data uri, which doesn’t need the internet to load. However, this means that the file gets really, really big, since the uri has to be long enough to fit all the megabytes your project would have.

There’s decompilers out there that do this faster and easier, though, similar to how swf files can be decompiled into fla files. However, since this is a much smaller community, they’re harder to come by

What decompiler did you use?
