That’s called necroposting, and the mods try to lock all necroposted posts. Idk the exact rules, but in most cases posts 2 weeks old or over are dead and any new post is a necropost. An exception is a collab that hasn’t officially ended yet.

Usually the ones that are not meaningful at the present time.
Sadly, it’s so easy to accidentally necropost. Like when you add an answer to a question you saw in Suggested Topics and, unbeknownst to you, the topic was over 3 years old.
