When I select something in a specific layer and something else is visible on another layer, I select it with the select tool and it selects both layers. Another thing is a tool that can select multiple frames.

I can actually see how an automatic select-stuff-only-on-this-layer feature could be helpful. Maybe it could be a setting or toggle.
Have you tried accomplishing this while locking the layers you don’t want to interact with?
This might be a bit cumbersome but could be a solution for now until we talk over the potential for a new feature.

Yes that does fix my problem but what if I wanted to select somethings in the layer and not others. Just a suggestion. Thanks for helping!
