I need to create a random ground for a 2d minecraft spinoff called “Craft of the Mine” So I want something like perlin noise. yunno, like the one in unity?
you can create a random ground by using the random.integer code and some thinking. Do u want it to be blocky, trees spawning random places and stuff? I can start working on a system for this if that’ll help
(I’ll start working on the system tomorrow, or once I find time)
yeah. I’ll send you the textures

These are nice textures (at the moment, I’m just gonna start with blocks, then add in your textures after I complete the project). I started working on the system now. How big do you want the world to be? (The bigger, the more block clones and greater the x range). What should also be the highest hill level?
(btw, each block= 50 width * 50 height)
The world should be an infinite world(using chunks.). The highest hill level should be under 160 blocks.
sounds super complex. how do you plan to keep it from lagging out?
I dunno. I’ll probably look up some tutorials and stuff. I’ll try to debug it myself.
Yea, that sounds a bit complex (like @awc95014 said), but I’m still capable of making it… maybe
(it’ll just take longer to make…)
Hi @Cleetus_Kernel, turns out that the max clones someone can make is 100, other than that, the project stops showing the clones, but still counts them as existing clones and runs their code, yet they don’t exist!
That might sound complicated, but that’s what happened when I tried to make it clone a block to make a random ground. I had a setText thing to calculate the amounts of clones. Every time a clone thing would be added, it would add a 1 to the total. I had three experiments, and every time, after 100, the cloning stops yet the number keeps moving up. Creepy, right?

Forget about everything I said… turns out the calculated amount I had was supposed to be 100, but the number of clones kept going up… for some strange reason, even after the clones stopped coming, it kept going up…
I feel like it’s either there’s a problem with my code, or if this is some type of cloning bug that makes wick lag and load infinite default scripts. Even after I had the amount set to 3 clones only, it kept going.
Can some pro coder look through this:
My Project10-9-2020_8-20-18AM.wick (2.3 KB)
I probably made a mistake that I can’t see.
You can set the amount and everything in the default script of the frame, and after the amount is set to zero, it’s supposed to fall down to make a random ground shape…
can you code something like that for a game I am making
Sure
ok
How would u like it to look like? Different colors, sizes, shapes, or something?
different shapes would be cool
That would be ez to do, what about colors? Random or black, or certain colors?
(also, random odd shapes, or normal shapes)
